I noticed FSP has a new series of gold certified power supplies (ranging from 400-700w ratings in 100w increments IIRC). They're listed as "temporarily out of stock" on their Web site. The modest price tag compared to similar offerings grabbed my attention, and I'm curious whether any of you have information on the availability of these units. Other input would be welcome as well.

ooh, 400W retail at $80. That means street price may end up pretty decent. Should be interesting once these are out in the market and hit the review sites.

Sorry, don't have any details, thanks for pointing them out though.

That's what I was thinking: finally a reasonably priced high-efficiency at a modest (but capable) price. That's my hope anyway.

FSP can only make about 10 Quality units or so. 15 go out for reviews. 10 go to the label reader review sites who gives it awards the other melt down during torture testing

Just because a power supply gained Gold certification is NO indication to its build or electrical quality.....complete pieces of junk have gotten gold cert'd.
