The attacker thought the victim called social services on her. It turns out it was the school that made the call when the children stopped attending the school back in October.
I guess they managed to get one of her hands bank on and healing, the other doesn't look so good.

Such violent events are so rare in this country that when it does occur, it makes international news. You know, like "man bites dog". Unlike south of the border, with such daily events. Just pickup any US daily paper or local evening news for worse horror stories.
