Fscked up my knee pretty bad (with a WARNING:HAIRY pic)

So Saturday, in my last football game ever, 2 minutes into the game, I get clipped at my right knee. We were playing on turf so you can see why that is quite a bad thing. I feel a pop, try to stand up, feel another pop, this time the knee going back into place. I try hobbling off the field, make to about 10 yards from the sideline and drop like a sack of sh!t. Trainer looks my over, says I probably have an MCL tear or severe sprain. After I got my wits together, it didn't hurt so much, so I had him tape me back up and went back in. Not exactly the smartest thing to do.

So I've basically been hopped up on painkillers all of Sunday and for most of this morning. Here's a pic(compare the size of the knee on the left(my right knee) to the knee on the right) of what it looks like compared to my left knee. That black and blue you see was caused internally. I already need the other knee scoped(tore that MCL and Meniscus in the first game of the year) and this one was already bothering my with an LCL strain. Maybe if they both need to be scoped I can get a two for one deal.

I did that once. I came home for fall break and played a game of touch football with my brothers. I was going for a touchdown when my youngest brother (bigger than me) tackled me. I ate some dirt, got some cool grass stains, and tore up my knee. I finished the game, then went grocery shopping, where I was laughed at by my brothers because I could only hobble around the store.

I never did figure out what I did to it, all I can do is describe how it felt. It felt like the bottom part of my knee was facing normally. The top part felt like it was twisted to the right.

Yea, being that this is the second time it happened, I knew it was my MCL right away. The first time I also sprained my ACL, so it hurt in a few more places, but not nearly as bad as this one. This happened in the Long Island Conference III Championship Game at Stonybrook. My last HS football game ever, so I really didn't want to come out.

It doesn't look too bad (referring to the picture, not the actual damage), but I'd be scared of any kind of damage to my knees.

A few years ago when I twisted (really, rolled) my ankle playing tennis, that would have been a scary picture. My ankle was about the size of a soft ball and the ligaments all along the side of my foot were stretched. Basically my ankle was this huge knot and the side of my foot was a huge blue mark. 😀

His right leg is swollon 😵 .

See this is why I only played one year of foot ball. I'd say those pro goes are hero's.

Damn you can't tell where your knee ends or begins. Hope it gets better before it gets worse. 🙁

I remember playing tackle football with a couple of buds and was going for a pass when I stepped awkwardly and thought I just twisted my ankle lightly. Kept playing for about another hour and really started to feel pain. I pull down my sock and my who freaking ankle was black and blue. Luckily we were playing a couple of blocks away from my house so my friends helped me hobble to my house where I told my mother to drive me to the hospital. Doctor took some x-rays and told me I most likely tore something in my ankle and it wouldn't of been bad if I had stopped playing and got off it, but of course I didn't. Couldn't walk for a week. :/

Ankle has never been the same and always cracks when I put a little to much force on it or when I extend my foot. Freakin injuries. 😛

I tore my ACL and medial miniscus cartilage in high school stepping in a rock filled ditch playing football. I had the surgery, and it still sucks bad. Unless you are a star, just play on 3 ligaments with a brace. It will pop out every now and then, but big deal. You will get arthritis earlier now whether you like it or not. Mine gets sore when it is cold out.

If it is any consolation, it does not look that bad.

I ruptured the bursa sack underneath my knee cap playing baseball once and it looked worse than that.
