1. mom has always cut my hair, but she said I should start going to a barber
2. went to we care hair to get a haircut
3. told lady to make sure to not go too short
4. lady proceeded to cut like they cut in the old country

moral of story: mom is pretty good

Mistake #1: You didn't goto a true barbershop (ie, not a chain)

Mistake #2: You had a woman cut your hair (who is not related or well known by you)

Thank god there's still a old school barbershop in my neighborhood. Except for the fact the barbers are black, its just like the one out of Barbershop. Been going there for 10 years; same barber every time. Good times:)

I've been to two good "real" barber shops. One was on the military base when I was in junior high and high school. The Korean women (dependents of the military guys) would get the job done in about four minutes, and it was great. It also cost less than $2!

In Orlando, I founf this shop full of old guys. That was old school. To clean up the neack and sideburns, the guys would pull out a straight blade and slap it against a leather strap for an edge, and they'd use warmed shaving cream out of this little machine.

The other barber shops I've been to have given me basic training haircuts regardless of what I ask for. I avoid them.

Now I go to Supercuts and ask for one girl in particular. She's hot, she rubs up against me while she's cutting my hair, and it always looks good. I have no idea what I'll do when I leave school.

I've long thought about becoming a skinhead. I havn't had a haircut in two years. I think I'll let it lapse to three and then shave my head RIGHT before I graduate high school.

I was going to have a haircut in December, and the lady promptly CUT MY FSCKING EAR while she was trimming out the sides. I let her finish the other side, paid her and GOT THE HELL OUTTA THERE.

my mom stopped cutting my hair when i was like 8. she was not a good haircutter and i didnt want to go to school with those haircuts anymore. mom also never let me use gel until i moved out of the house. God...i had awlful bangs for the longest time.

just look around until you find a place you like. i had to go to three different shops before i found one i liked when i was in college. thats three months of crappy haircuts in freshmen year. The first few times i was looking for the cheapest $10~$12 places like haircuttery and supercuts. i lived in a predominantly black neighborhood so the ladies didnt know how to cut asian hair. in fact, that one girl at haircuttery kept giggling and laughing while cutting my hair. maybe she was laughing my her godawlful mess of a haircut.

that haircut really sucked ass.

Im paying more for haircuts now ($18 to $25 range) and have gotten much better haircuts. I also never go to cheap chain places, they have fairly unskilled workers.
