Then go and do it. BF1942 plays on WineX, and there are plenty of file sharing programs out there.

Go to winex's site and check out the compatability and then go thru their forums (horribly designed BTW) and see what problems people have with it.

I know that BF1942 should work fine, but I don't know about any expansion packs.

If it's games you miss, maybe it's a good idea to dual boot win98 or something simple like that.

Is their any other apps you feel are missing other then games?

lol....

I used gentoo-source's default kernel settigns. The results were hilarious....

Seeing as my boot drive is a SCSI drive, it decided to install EVERY FRIKIN SCSI DRIVER. let's just say "make modules" took some time and I could never get past grub.😉
