Cant seem to get this setup to post when i raise the fsb settings above 105. It will run stable at 9.5*100 and also at 7.5*105, but when I try to post at 9.5*105 it wont do so. I have good cooling- Taisol 742 w/ 25mm YSTech hsf and plenty of case fans in my Antec SX1030. Figure I'm pushing the limits of this chip at 9.5 multiplier, but see people getting 133 fsb settings just fine. Is 105 fsb the limit of the Duron or my mobo? Probably sorry I didnt wat for the KT7A!!

My Tbird won't do it either. I think it has to do with the newer chips with the higher bus speed. you will need the KT133a.

its not the limit for the duron, but you have to remember that when you increase the fsb you also increase the pci and agp bus (since they are just a % of the fsb.) so... if you have a pci card that wont run stable above 34mhz then you are very limited in what you can do with the fsb.

for example if you raise the fsb 3mhz it raises the pci 1mhz and the agp 2mhz.

also..... if you are using a motherboard with a kt133 chipset (not kt133a) then the chipset will limit you to about 110 mhz fsb.

on the kt7 you can raise the fsb without raising the pci or agp. there is a seperate setting called fsb+.

No sorry that is not how it works. The PCI and AGP is at 1/3 or 1/4 for PCI and 2/3 or 1/2 for AGP.
when you change the FSB with FSB+ PCI and AGP change also.

i agree with mikaelb...according to abit...the fsb+ changes the pci / agp speeds...regardless of what the manual says...

some accident printing or misunderstanding

That 105 limit might be due to the HPT controller. try putting yout HD on via controller and disable the HPT...
