FSB overclocking

I overclocked my FSB from 133mhz all the way up to 142 in that it booted into windows... because 143 would just display the xp loading screen and then just reboot from there... but 142 mhz would boot into windows, but if i ran 3dmark 2001se it would reboot during the benchmarks.. but 141 mhz FSB ran fine through all the tests and is stable.. is there any other way that i can increase my fsb some more???? also, can i raise the multiplier or would i have to unclock my xp 1900+ cpu to do this, and one more thing, can you tell me what is the average FSB max for a Amd Athlon Xp 1900+ chip, i raised my processor speed about 100mhz, what is average, from 1.6ghz to 1.7ghz, is this a good increase and do you think i could get more?

the only thing i raised is fsb by 2mhz increments from 133... i heard you have to raise voltage or something, if so by how much and then do what next?

Have you tried to up the voltage? You would have to unlock your CPU in order to raise the multiplier.

I would leave your FSB as is. If you want to try to get more, you can up the voltage to your RAM and processor (if you have that option) or you can lower the timings on your RAM. You can't up the multiplier on your AthlonXP unless you unlock that thing.

Raise your voltage by 0.05

i have the option of changing voltage for Core Voltage, I/O Voltage, and DDR Volatage... and after i raise it by .05 for ddr and core... do i try to up the fsb by 1mhz until it boots and is stable?... and what is the most i can go on the voltage

Thats what I did. Got upt o 150 not totally stable, and am currently running 148. 😀

Going to unlock my processor later...1700+=>1900+ is enough .... FOR NOW!!1! 😉

When you hit a platue in OCing, raise the voltage a bit, run prime95 for awhile, up a mhz or 2, run prime 95 again, etc.

I would usually go by 3-5MHz increments until it wouldn't boot, then work my way back down until it would boot and run stable again.

i raised the core voltage by .05 and now it boots all the way till 144mhz... should i raise it another .05.... and what is the most that i can raise my core volatage up to????

currently the Core Voltage is 1.800v and it was at 1.750 before i raised it... what is a danger zone voltage??

144 was unstable, when down to 143fsb... is this good enought for a 1900+ amd? what performane would unclocking the processor give me?

oh yeah and is my ddr ram fsb at 143 too??? because when i went to advanced chipset features then ddr and it say the current ddr frequency is 133mhz
