FSB makes me freeze?!

Hi I have a N2U400-A motherboard that claims it can handle 400FSB but when i put in my AMD Athlon 1700+ 266FSB cpu on it it works for maybe 5 minutes then it freezes. When i run it on 100, everything works fine, but it says it runs at 1.09 gigahertz as opposed to 1.5.

Why does it freeze?? can anyone help me?

Might be a RAM issue....what speed RAM are you trying this with?

PC2100 i think, 266mhz

I had the same problem... I RMA'ed the chip..
