To succesful O clockers

have a problem over clocking my thunderbird. cant get it past 10050.
anything over 11x multiplier wont even post.
went the other route and lowered multiplier to 7.5x but can only raise my fsb to 105 max. (pathetic).

Is this a limitation of my motherboard? i heard this mobo is capable of 150 fsb but in reality can only get 120 fsb? why cant I get over 105 even with multiplier down to 7.5? bridged my L1 and even my L7 to improve voltage at initial post still no luck at increasing fsb.

Is this Thunderbird limit? heard people upping fsb to 120 and hgher on same bird i figure must at leats get it to 1100.

I dont think heat is a problem at this point since it wonth even post to heat up.

any suggestions or comments appreciated.

tried upping voltage to 1.85/ memory voltage3.45

every time I try to go over fsb 105 have to do cmos clear
105 and 8x wont even post

110 FSB was the max I could ever get out of the Pro2A. That is more of a chipset limit than board.
If your Tbird is not unlocked, then you should unlock it and use multiplier overclocking.
It may do 12x, 12.5x , or more. Most Tbirds I have run at 12.5x (1250), actually defaulted to 1300 on that board.

thanks for reply compuwiz

tried fsb 100(default) and 11x multiplier no luck wont post,
tried fsb 100(defaul) and 10.5x multiplier will boot sometimes.
could this be just a unclockable bird?

tried 7.5x 105fsb will run but much lower than default 100x 10
tried 8x 105fsb wont post

as mentioned did my L1 and L7 with conductive pen

how did you get your fsb up to 110 any special bios adjustment?
most of my clocking problems is inability to even post.

Well, sounds like you need more voltage. Did you try 1.85v yet?

How's your cooling? I test mine with FOP32-1's.

And, finaly, there are some sad birds every once in awhile, that just won't go very high.
