FSB limit has gone down?!? help...

I am overclocking a brand new 1ghz Athlon for my friend, using FSB... As of lastnight I was stable a 108 FSB and was tweaking with 110 FSB voltage, then I go to bed. Wake up, last setting was 109 from last night, no post! reset CMOS, 107, no post again! reset to 105, NO FREAKIN POST!!!! 103, finally a POST. Whats going on here? Why would the limit go down overnight? and assuming I can fix this, what kinda voltage is good at for 110FSB?
 
I've had the same experience with P-3s on some motherboards when the cpu is warm and everything is primed they allow the OC but when you boot cold the thing gives ya fits. Good luck this!! mostly happened with a Asus P3V4X I had and was fine when the Bios updates were all done.
