FSB 1600 with GA965P-DS3/6320/DDR2 800?

That board will do 2000 with a cooling upgrade on the north bridge.

My system used to run at 1800MHz (QDR) FSB with my old C2D E6400 (now running Q6600).

Man that things a flame thrower with no fan once you break about 350.

The BIOS autobumps the vFSB which is why you can leave it at "default" all the way to like 440.

I am pushing it a bit more to 1716FSB so it reaches 3.0GHz, runging tests, seems stable so far.

No north bridge fan, but have a Tuniq Tower on CPU and 900 case with 120mm GPU cooler, which also creates some circulation on north bridge. I will find a compact chipset cooler because the Tuniq Tower tooks too much spaces.

I have the s3 rev1 board f8 bios. with just a small fan on the NB my e6600 runs great at 3.24ghz 360x9 1.375v on a zalman 9500. the fan on the NB I used is a vantec copper chipset cooler but I drilled out a large hole in the bottom and sealed the outer fins with electrical tape (cant tell its there when installed) so the fan blows through and then attached to the stock cooler with double sided tape keeps the system temp idle at 36 instead of the 56 without the fan it was
