FSAA in nVmax 4

i just downloaded the newest alpha of nVmax, which is 4.00.21, and in the FSAA settings it has 2x + quincunx, and 4x+ quincunx. does this have something to do with the new FSAA modes that the geforce4 is supposed to have? i'm running the 27.00 dets, btw.

Hmmm, I don't know. That could be entirely possible. Have you tried running your current card with these modes of FSAA on?
 
yeah. everything runs real real real slow. stuff runs slower than with 4x, but i can't really tell any image differences, but i'm running on a crappy monitor. maybe the geforce3 doesn't have the hardware to run it properly, so it has to be done partially in software (kind of like truform on a radeon 7500)...?
