fsaa and bf1942 = illegible text

When I turn on FSAA all of the text in the hud and the game messages are blurred. Everything is barely legible, is there a fix for this or did I just set some options wrong? Does anyone else get this?

I've not found a workaround for it (other than not worrying about it, or turning FSAA off)

I tried searching the official EA boards and came up with nothing, but those forums seemed hopeless no matter what the issue was. Oh well, up for the night people.
