The search function is absurd..


For example, if you search for something, your results come in some random order of posts that ARE NOT sort by any date feature. The downside is looking through several DEAD threads that members barely make an attempt to flag as dead. Some are ridiculously old but still at the top of my search results.

My proposal is that there is a more univeral and absolute approach to flagging For Sale threads as DEAD or that the search function enable us to have results sorted or filtered by threads with activity within the last ## days.

There is a checkbox on the search page in the Advanced Filtering section that allows the order returned, to be by the lasted updated thread date.

and it's been there since August (see Search Modifications thread), and there are several threads about it. Search results in FS/FT section using the on page search bar...how to make it show by last post (date), Searching problem Last posts not in "dated" order, forum searching and sorting? are some of them.

I like how they all come in here with their nose up in the air and then go about owning themselves. Never once have I seen anyone apologize to Zuni afterwards for starting a condescending thread.

I was hoping for sorting by last post. This is definitely better than nothing though.
