FS/FT forum too large/fast-paced?

This forum needs to be broken up....I put up a topic or do my once a day bump and 10 minutes later it is on the 20th page! There is just too much going on for one single forum to handle. Some suggestions might be to break into a FS/FT and a WTB/WTT or a computer and a non-computer related (as I have seen MANY posts lately that have nothing to do with computers. Not that its a bad thing but....)

I believe many of the good traders are leaving because of this fact and some bad traders are sneaking in through the commotion. Just my observation though...

I hope everyone will voice their concerns on this here as I really like this forum and want to stay, but there are some modifications you must do when you get the volume of people you see here now.

Actually, the size of it is what I like about it. True, it's possible for one of your threads to get lost, so you just really need to stay on top of them. Try setting your preferences to load 100 threads per page, and bump your thread every 6 hours or so. That'll keep it on the first page.

Look at the flip-side of this: most of the time when someone posts a good deal, it's immediately snatched up by one of the more dilligent members of AT, but occasionally you can find some real gems that got lost in the shuffle.

I don't buy as much as I sell usually so from the sellers aspect I have been lost in the shuffle and that is how I feel. Even if I have a good price on something I can't sell it cause nobody sees it.....It's nice that there may be a couple people out there like you that take the time to go through every post but the people that may want to buy the stuff I am selling are not finding it, I don't beleive anyway.

This post will probably tick off some but some time ago they banned group buys and commercial or business from using the FS/FT forum and there were a lot of posts that the forum would go belly up because of it, boy were they wrong.:Q

Seems fine to me. I like the size and the pace. Nothing personel but, maybe no one wants your items or likes the price of the items. Just a thought.

the search option takes care of all that, I never read through the pages, just search for what I want :)

Yes its very large but should not be broken up. It is better to encourage people to use better descriptions of what they are selling. That way the search button is 100% more effective. Too many "Check this out" titles. You maybe looking for a voodoo and if its 10 pages down the search will pick it up f it has a accurate title.

How is breaking it up going to reduce the number of posts? It'll just seperate them onto two different forums, and if anything, will add more posts because the single posts that lists both a person WTBs and WTS will now be seperated into two.

If anything, i say there has to be more structure. Make EVERY title start with a FS or WTB or OT, and none of this 'nothing in here' crap (that stuff has been vastly reduced lately, so that's good).

Rudder the search will pick it up if it has a accurate title.
Do the longer search - has more options.. title or body
Acccurate descriptions would help more with searches
MrAnderson I agree with ya, I'd like to see a poll on different ways to seperate things
