I bought a video card from Fry's with my debit card. I then returned the card and got store credit for another card, which I didn't like either and I want to return it. Can I get a full refund or will they just give me store credit back?

Thanks

I have gotten refunds from them dont see why you cant, you can always call them and ask or see if the back of the receipt explains it.

They will always give you store credit first, with hopes you'd purchcase from them again. However, if you chose to do an actual return, just take that large store credit sheet of paper to the cashier and they will refund you via what ever method you paid with.

Typically, my local Fry's will give full refund if within the return limit of the item. If you are passed the date to return, they will only give store credit.

Never experienced returning a second item but I do know that on your first return they will ask if you want store credit or debit back (if paid by card). However, I do know if you buy something with a gift card, and return it they will only give you the store credit option.

Not a smart-ass question: So how many cards have you gone through? Three?

What video cards did you purchase and what did you not like about them? Maybe asking a few questions or getting a recommendation from AT gurus can help lessen your pain in finding the right card for you. Just a suggestion.

No its a good question :) I'm still trying to figure that one out myself. I guess I'm like MONK :) But anyway I settled on the 4870 with my S1 cooler on it....

The Fry's in my area will pretty much let you do whichever you want. The customer service reps ask the standard scripted questions, but they clearly don't understand the answers and therefore quickly cave to whatever you suggest is best.

WaTaGuMp is right; the return policy has to be explicitly stated on the receipt as this is a requirement for all debit card transactions by mastercard and visa. If not you can dispute through your debit card company, and since you made an attempt to return the merchandise, you can keep the product AND get a refund.

Of course I would never do business with the merchant again after that, chances they will have some hard feelings, lol.
