Frys Phenom II X4 965 and Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2 $149 AR

paid $200 for the 965 + 790GX UD4P back in January. This is an excellent deal. Hadn't used a gigabyte before this one, and I must say it's quite solid.

I don't really overclock, though, so my recommendation is somewhat useless 😀
It is a sturdy board, at least.
 
Anyone know if the CPU is retail with a cooler, or tray OEM? Sending my brother who lives near by to snatch one for me. 🙂
 
Wow these deals are crazy!!!! Going to get one for the hell of it. That makes 4 bundles from frys in the last 4 months....my last e8400 will be decommisioned and donated to a needy kid from church.
 
Sold out in 30 minutes, all 21 units they had in the Sacramento store ><. As well as the Athlon II 3.0ghz with biostar board for $55.
 
I got this around black Friday with the $139 deal.

They were sold out of everything again, but a nice clerk looked and found they hadn't even had any in stock that morning at all, and told the manager they should offer it.

So I suggested upgrading the MB to the best one I could find. At first, the manager wanted to charge full price for the motherboard, but I said that wasn't right and I'd pay the difference between the normal price of the sale motherboard and the normal price of the new motherboard and he agreed to that, so it was still a great deal.

It's too bad how they stock too little for the sales.
