I had to rma one of the motherboards from one of the combos

Basically it is 30 days on the mobo. They will ship you a replacement BEFORE they get your motherboard back but they will charge it to your credit card and then reimburse you the shipping and the cost of the mobo when they receive the bad mobo.

(I have bought a lot from them and have had nothing but easy dealings with them). I actually did not get around to using the bad motherboard until about 6 weeks after I bought it. They still gave me the RMA.

BTW: They only charged me initially for the motherboard itself. Not the total combo. So it was around $35.00 they charged to me and then I got the reimbursement.

That's interesting to know. Fry's has only a 15 day (or was it 14) warranty on the stuff.

Well that pretty much just covers DOA's.....That crap ECS stuff is prone to duying like 2-6 months in and then you are screwed.....

If I ever bought the deal I would sell the mobo on ebay and get a better mobo...The cpu if not DOA will not likely die under normal condition within a reasonable timeframe....

I've found the ECS boards of late to be reasonable quality, but to each their own. Yes I've used them for lengths of time, and yes I've also sold them to take advantage of cheap processors. Works great either way. For instance recent deal was a retail Venice 3000+ with motherboard for $99.99. That's $15-20 cheaper than CPU alone at Newegg, sell off the board for $30 or so and end up with a CPU that's 2/3 the cost.
