Reviews I have read have been really good for Olevia, usually 4/5 stars and half the cost of the 5 star models..

TV LCD's are brighter than computer monitor LCD's so don't sit too close to it.
It is fairly low resolution compared to to computer monitor 1280x768 30 inches , where computer 23" LCD's are 1600x1200.
You would see the pixels, unless it is across the room.

Actually, most 23" computer monitors are 1920x1200...they just don't bother to put the HDCP circuitry in them so you can use them as full-fledged futureproof HDTVs/PC monitors.

Also, 1299.99 isn't as low as this has been - if you're looking for an LCD TV and have a little more to spend, there's a deal for the 32" Sharp LC-32GA5U for about 2150 after a $200MIR I posted through Buy.com. It has DVI and HDMI, and 1366x768.
