Fry's has some deals going with certain Oreilly titles. There's a $20 rebate on each book, that costs anywhere between $20-$24.
I was told I coud by sales reps at Fry's that I could submit multiple rebates, so I did just that. But today, just before I filed the copies away, I noticed the fine print stating that only 1 rebate per offer is allowed per household.
So what's the deal? I'm assuming the rebate processing company will have the last say here, and they can give a rat's ass about what the Fry's reps said.
I read some thread someplace, where someone sent out multiple rebate slips for these Fry's/Oreilly deals, and they were denied because of "rebate fraud" or something, all because you are entitled to 1 rebate, not two, and since they sent out for two, both rebates were declined.
How should I handle this now? Should I fight it, or should I simply return the books and call the rebate processors and tell them that I don't want the rebates anymore?
