The board is the Shuttle AK12A, which is KT133A chipset (supports "266" FSB). The ad didn't specify which 1 GHz CPU was bundled with it, so it is probably the 200 FSB version.

I set up W2K on the KT133 version of the board (AK12) and it seems fine. Easy to set up, stable (well, once I took out the crummiest memory I had and put in the second crummiest), not much to whine about. And it lights up a video card that won't even POST with several other boards.

Help a mewbie here, there are different versions of this BOXED same speed athlon?

Yes. Either a 200mhz FSB boxed or the 266mhz FSB boxed. FSB = Front Side Bus.

bought the combo in Anaheim. it's a retail boxed 1gig (266) with hsf.
