Clay, you understand that the Hot Deal is for a small handheld keyboard and not a full sized keyboard, yes? This thing is only like 5" wide.

Is the range any better than the original in real life? I can barely get 8ft out of mine...just enough that I sometimes have to lean forward on my sofa to get the damned thing to work.

Mines at about 12 feet and works fine. Good deal on a nice keyboard, absolutely perfect for the HTPC.

Nice find...too bad it's "unavailable" even though it says "available for backorder."

I'm not personally, although a number of reviewers prefer the trackball to the optical nav. It seems a that mini keyboard wtih touchpad is a better option. Or, for a pure HTCP simply a remote control. The only problem is that usually means IR so a remotely located box is problematic as opposed to with RF.

Touchpad might be hard. You hold this like you hold a blackberry or a phone, with 2 hands. having a touchpad you would need to hold it with 1 hand and use your other hand to use the touchpad. I gues they were targeting different market. I have 4 back order, never gonna cancel them unless they cancel it.. it feels exactly like typing on a blackberry

The previous version N5901 (non-backlit, trackball, glossy) is $20.99 shipped from Lenovo with code USP1AG46336.

http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/c...0&Code=57Y6336

For joining their mailing list there is also "10% off your next order" and of course cash back up to 5% from various sites. So, potentially $17.95 in the end.
You can't stack coupons with Lenovo.

The best price from Lenovo on the N5902 (new version) was $30 with free shipping, but they haven't discounted it in months. $20 is smoking hot, but it appears dead.
