I think everytime I've been at Fry's...

A sales rep would tell me to follow and ask for my info so they can get commission.

Sometimes I would tell them I have no time, but they will BS me in some way (EX : you cannot buy the product without paper work) so they can get the commission. So ugly... I even had a case where the sales rep made sure I had the paper work after I was walking around the store for a while.

I don't mind giving commission if they actually helped me. When I ask for help, they usually never help or don't know anything. These people grab me when I'm just walking around the store.

.... just had to vent.

Eh, that's not so shocking. I had one comment that since I was Chinese price shouldn't be an issue (mom and I were looking at camcorders and speaking Chinese to each other).

You should have said "I'll trade you two bags of rice for the camcorder"

regarding the chinese thing, I can see where that came from.

when buying cars, asian ppl tend to pay cash. so they know not to ignore asian ppl who go to dealers browsing for cars.

That's still no way to talk to a customer.

It's all about the customer. A lot of people would say that you shouldn't cuss with the customer but once again that depends on the customer and how well you can read people.

Anyway, I would have told him to leave me the hell alone, but I tend to speak my mind more than most.

I agree about the cussing part. Some customers wouldn't care at all. But making a blanket statement like that is not a good idea. I don't offend easily and I honestly felt offended.

I've never had that problem. I dunno what it is exactly, but they leave me pretty well alone; I think I have some sort of aura that says "I know more than you do, don't ask to help me or I'll humiliate you by demonstrating how much better I could do your job." :p
