Fry's CPU return policy?

Just recently got the ECS mobo + duron 1200 combo, had it sent to me via FedEx from a friend in LA, the CPU is DOA and appears to have a partial core chip on the edge (was like this when I got it), question is what is the return policy on the CPU, this might be a special circumstance because of the chipped core (the average retail cashier wouldnt notice this chip its on the edge) will he have any problems returning this within the initial 15 day return window?? i don't think it should be a problem if returned within the window.

i remember returning a defective cyrix chip a few years ago, no questions asked.
