Fry's CPU/Mobo combos

I know it's one per customer. But can you buy an AMD combo and Intel combo?

I'm assuming so, but it's a 2 1/2 hr drive, and I just wanna be sure...

You can pretty much buy as many combos as you need, depending on the CSR you get. Worse comes to worst, you buy one, come back to the components desk, and buy another and repeat.

That said, however, realize that it costs about $0.50 per mile on average to drive a car (factoring in everything - gas, depreciation on the car, maintenance, repairs, insurance, risk of getting in an accident). 2 1/2 hours at 70 miles per hour = 175 miles, or $87.50 in driving costs.

Isn't it worth it to just spend $20 extra and order the same combo from an amateur reseller on ebay?

nah its more like i buy it, put in the car, go back and buy it again (rinse, repeat)

in theory yes, because in order to get the item out of the cage, you have to have a quote generated back in components. to do that, they look up your customer information by asking for your phone number.

so give them a different one.

you can always get in line twice. they don't care if its two items of different kind, two different combos for instance. the limit one is to limit blatant abuse/resellers.
