Does that PC2100 memory have a rebate or is that the in-store price? If it's in-store that's pretty hot. The best price after rebate lately has been $32. Probably worth the extra $10 to not have to bother...

Yeah, but rebates with Fry's are always good. You have to wait 30 minutes for the person who doesn't speak english behind the counter to go find the correct rebate, but once you send it in, you get a check within two weeks.

trust me, that epox mobo/cpu combo will run cooler/faster than that amd combo. plus it overclocks better because of agp/pci lock

Anybody know what brand it is?

It's probably standard Fry's generic ram. That means a brand you've never heard of using chips made buy someone you've never heard of either. But have no fear. I use nothing but the cheapest Fry's ram I can get. I've never had problems with it since my 386 days.

Thanks for the tip, after reading some info about the P4 2.0a and epox mobos, i'm tempted now. I'm building a computer for my first time and I guess i'm unsure about what to get exactly.

I would just advise that you be "ready to go" with a system for the RAM or be doing an upgrade. You really need to test this RAM in your system ASAP because it will either be the "30 day warranty" variety or the "90 day" version. Not long but not really a problem, as long as it "works" in your system. But you are stuck if you wait too long to test and find out it won't work. Hey, that's pretty much standard on whatever you buy anywhere these days so just be aware. Nice deal.

Went to Fry's yesterday and got some ram. It say Legacy Electronics on a sticker and on the chip it say Lei, LED161608TA-7, 0234
16M*16 SDRAM-7-T, MADE IN USA

Hope that helps some one, and yes it comes with a 90 Days Warranty.

Thanks Micael
