We all know of the LA one. The Bay Area one is 5 dollars less.

3 years warranty, heatsink, board. Great package if you don't plan to overclock too much!

For those that are wondering on the board differences, the main difference is that the V6 uses the KT333CE chipset while the V8 uses the slightly newer KT333CF revision (borked KT400 without AGP8X, 400FSB support, and only 266V-Link.). Performance wise, the memory controller MAY be a tad faster but will be unnoticeable to the eye.

Same price in Vegas...didn't note if it was a boxed or tray processor. They had the same processor & board at the same price a couple of weeks ago, and that was with a tray processor.

Got one earlier tonight with a non-returned mobo. I just asked for it.

In south SF Bay area, it is $89.99 for the combo. The CPU is indeed Barton - retail version (nice HSF unit, w/ free AMD case sticker!).

HTH.

Just FYI, I got this combo the last time around, and just for kicks, got the $16.99 Kingcase case from Ebuyer, and the PS is working like a charm. It's been running a W2K3 server for the last week nonstop. I'm obviously not overclocking, and don't have a powerful videocard in there, but for a cheap 2nd machine or home server, you can't beat it! :)
