Frys has this 50 spindle for $14.50 with a limit of one per customer at the physical store no online store. This expires Tuesday march 20th. Specs: 16x 80 min 700mb silver/silver brand hotan. What type of deal is this for a store buy? Hot, warm, cold? Has anyone ever used this brand to burn cds? Found the company's website but they don't have any listing for 16x, it seems that the 8x has the same features for the 16x. Link to company specs

I'd say it's barely warm, only since you actually have the CD-R's right away and don't pay shipping.

ACcessmicro has 200 CD-Rs (in 25 cd spindles) for $45.95 including shipping. At Fry's 200 would be around $60.

I ordered 150 from accessmicro for $36.45 (best per-cd price, go figure). :)

Don't buy these Hotan CDRs. I haven't had very many pleasant experiences burning on these medias.

I don't know if they still have it, but Microcenter (southern california) had a 100-pack spindle of CDR's for $17.

Fry's will usually run out of stock on most of the hot deals within a few hours on the Friday the ad comes out. either they didn't have much to begin with or a lot of people swarm in on Friday mornings.

Does the silver/silver media have better reflective surface than silver/blue media? My stock CD player in my car cannot read the blue or green surface very well, I was actually hoping burning my music CD with these silver/silver media would eliminate the problem, any idea?
