The SF/SJ area Fry's are selling the AMD 2000XP/ECS combo for $99. Good today and tomorrow. They also sell the 1700 for $59.99 which is a good price if you don't want to order online.

the 1700 is a celeron.. with an ecs motherboard.. sucks if you ask me..

da nerdster

The 1700 is just the chip. It's an OK deal only if you don't like online ordering. A month or so ago they had a combo with the ECS motherboard for $69 I believe. Sooner rather than later, it'll be back.

Concord, CA? Where? Old Levitz building? I can't wait. I hate reading the adds everyday and the nearest store is 40 miles away.

I picked this combo up in Woodland Hills yesterday. Lots of new MB's left there at that time. The XP is an 'AGOIA' core. Will try to put it together this weekend.
Today is the last day - but these specials seem to pop up every couple of weeks.

Any idea as to when the Vegas store is opening? Now we will be able to gamble on the deals at Fry's.
