Not sure how using a pile of cheese would be more healthy than a half tbsp or whatever of bacon grease. Less fat, less calories, and you don't really even eat all the grease, just whatever sticks to the egg.

Eggs are not healthy to begin with. It has double the cholesterol of a big mac lol. 60% of its calories is from fat, mostly saturated as well.

Cholesterol doesn't get absorbed by the digestive tract so the cholesterol content of food is irrelevant to health.

Unless you are a hyperresponder. About 40% of the population is one.

And no, I am not giving up eggs xd. I do object to it being promoted as healthy.

I've had a piece of bacon and an egg (at minimum) every day for the last 15 or so years. Cholesterol is normal. Fat consumption is required by your body. See above.

Oh I know most people can self regulate cholesterol, but that does not make an egg healthy.

It's fat and protein, nothing at all wrong with it. Damn sight better than what most people eat for breakfast (50%+ sugar by calories).

Eggs are a good bioavailable source of luetin. https://academic.oup.com/jn/article/134/8/1887/4688821

And if one wants to got fat vs no fat...even a vegetable consumption benefits from some sort of fat if obtaining the fat-soluble vitamins like caratenoids or vitamin K is part of the aim.

As a "get an organism ready for life" food, the micronutrient profile is quite comprehensive. Useful for those who don't eat fortified foods, such as those who avoid cereals or iodized salt.

I don't like conventionally raised eggs. I even have a tough time wanting to eat pasture-raised ones over other foods. But the "harm" component doesn't take into account what other foods may be creating an inflammatory environment in the body. The better raised eggs can come with vitamin D and omega 3s, providing an alternative for non-eaters of fatty fish.

Perhaps frying eggs or eating it with fat-inducing foods like Eggo waffles can cause negative effects, but eliminating those things would reduce or remove the harmful aspects of egg consumption.
