I own an asus v7700 delux (geforce gts with 32mb)
i decided it would be cool to experiment with oc'n the sucker so i put the biggest fan on the gpu and epoxied on some really nice heatsinks on the sgram
i oc'd and found it ran perfectly stable at 240/410 (which was great)
i didn't get any image distortion or anything it was cool
ran it at this clock for about two weeks then i came home one day and noticed that the screen had all kinds of little dots on it and imperfections in the images
i imediately underclocked the card to it's default but the little dots never went away and now my card is screwed and the system freezes up randomly
the asus smartdoctor program that reads the gpu temp sometimes says i don't even have an asus card in my system
i tryed installing new drivers and everything
the card never ran hot like 34c at the most
i just don't know why this could happen
i suppose this should be a lesson not to oc anything so close to it's limit
anyone have any comments ??
