FryCry Demo Error

When I try to play the FryCry demo, It loads up the first level, but there are no water tesxtures. The game thenlocks up, but the sound keeps going. Why?

I assume you mean Far Cry right?
Well I see you have a 6800GT so if you use version 1.0 of the game download 1.1 or 1.2
Far Cry rans normally with NV40 only with these 2 versions.
 
I found the actual game ran much better than the demo. The game s/b beautiful on your rig.
 
The demo looks like sh!t and the gameplay sucks compared to the full game. I'm curious, though, as to why you aren't using the full game that should have come with your 6800...
 
WTF? You were talkin about the demo right? ROFL
Anyway I suspect that what I told you about the full version might have to do with it.
I believe that there's only one demo released and that was the first one,before the NV40 was released.
Thus demo is like 1.0 version of the full. So what I told you can be true even for the demo.

Ahh, I just checked BFG's and Nvidia's sites and see that it is only with the vanilla BFG 6800 OC, not GT/Ultra. That sucks.
