I performed a clean install of Windows 98 se over the weekend, but I have this nagging problem that I can't fix. I tried asking in the Windows 98 newsgroups but wasn't able to fix the problem. I've lurked around this forum for some time and figured that Anandtech readers would have better luck helping me out.
Here's the problem: how do I keep my folders in the same position? For example: Open the 'my computer' icon on the desktop; then open the 'c: drive' icon. Next, go back and double-click the 'my computer' icon again. The new window is slightly below and to the right of the previous window; this is NOT what I want. I want the new window to be in the SAME EXACT position as the previous one. Any ideas how to achieve this?
Before I did my clean install, I had it working the way I wanted it to. After, the install, I can't reproduce it.
It's really a minor problem (many wouldn't consider it a problem at all) but it's quite frustrating. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
