Frustrating probelm

I recently wiped Win2k and installed WinME ( I did this just because Everquest does not reliably run on Win2k, and it is the only game I currently play). I did a full format and installed Via drivers first, then all the other good stuff , Creative SB Live drivers, Nvidia drivers ( tried newest ones than went back to 12.41), and also enabled DMA. The probelm is that Everquest is EXTREMELY choppy, something that never happened when I ran it on WinME in the past ( it was much faster/reliable than Win2k), however in the desktop enviroment I experience no slow downs whatsoever, I also installed dx8 btw. One thing is that I do have 512mb ram, and it ran reliable a long time ago when I had 256, this is a very odd probelm and I appreciate any support.

Interesting. Why not pull a 256 RAM stick out and see if it makes a difference?

Basically, sounds like a change in video drivers from then to now.
