Frustrating Day w/ my H22 UPDATED for 3/23

So I started wrenching the motor today getting it ready to go. I don't know how I managed to do all of this but I snapped two bolts and managed to actually break a piece of the waterpump housing. Man, good thing I was replacing the water pump anyway. The bolts I broke didn't get stuck in the block thank god. To make matters worse, I got the wrong timing belt and the wrong cam seals from my friend. He's a mechanic so I asked him to get the parts for me at cost. Ugh. I was hoping to have the whole thing prepped today. Right now its sitting with the valve cover off, timing belts still off and the tranny is off as well. At least I managed to get the flywheel machined. Hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow.

3/23 UPDATE: Well, today I went much slower then yesterday. Yesterday I also stressed myself out since I didn't get done what I had hoped to. Today I realized its not the end of the world if the swap doesn't happen next weekend. So, another snafu today. Trying to get the timing gear on the crank off to change the front main seal. Stupid thing refuses to budge. I think my friend and I spent about 1.5 hours trying to get that thing off. Finally just called it a day.

i wish i knew how to do that stuff...actually, I was thinking about it today, and when I was in highschool it was the gear heads and the jocks that everyone thought were cool...and now its like, "wow, you can fix my computer? Thats so awesome!"

Its sitting on a pallet while I work on it. And, I'm not having too much trouble getting things apart. I snapped those bolts by over-torquing them as I put them back in. My own dumb fault for not paying close enough attention to the manual.
