Frustrating Asus P8H77-M Pro DisplayPort

Hi folks!
I am having troubles using the DisplayPort in Asus P8H77M - Pro motherboard. No signal is produced via DP 1.2 cable and the monitor (Dell U2713HM) enters Power Save Mode.

DVI works find but resolution is up to 1920 X 1080 only.

I am using Intel HD400 graphice engine that comes with i5-3570 CPU.

Has any one managed to use DP on these boards before? I have installed all drivers for the motherboard and Intel to no avail.

I have a 3770k and a p8z77 deluxe and am using a Dell U2312 and had the same problem when testing the on board graphics.
Make sure your bios is set up correctly. If i remember correctly i would shut the computer off. Then on the monitor i would turn it off and on and go into the dell menu and set it for display port. Turn it off then boot the computer then turn the monitor on. After that i wouldn't have any problems.(now im back to using a Nvidia 460 card)

I didn't get that about the Dell menu? Where do I get to this? Do you think this is Dell issue?
How can I set to Display Port?

There should be buttons on the right bottom side on your monitor(just above the power button). You need to set the input to display port (not auto select).

Mate! You saved my life!! I totally forgot about the menu! I feel so dumb!
