Frustrated with new Athlon64 rig, & game glitch. Please help!

Ok, here's what I'm facing. I just put together a system with the specs listed below. Everything works fine except for the following:

When I play a game (so far it has happened with BF1942 and Hitman: Contracts), the game will start fine, but then after a random amount of time (anywhere from a few seconds to 20 minutes) the game will suddenly quit and I'll get kicked back to my desktop. No warning, no BSOD, and there is no particular trigger I can see in the game that causes it.

I did some research and found that there are some compatability issues with my onboard Realtek AC97 soundcard and BF 1942. I installed the latest drivers but that didn't help.

By my relatively noobie logic, it seems like it *should* be a video card problem, but i can find nothing that indicates a problem. I've checked the event viewer, but nothing is out of the ordinary.
