Frustrated by Luna/Classic in WinXP - help!

Ok, so I started playing with tweaking XP, and got very used to the classic Start menu, which included the classic-look taskbar and application window title bars. Then I followed this tweak and it promptly reset the taskbar and title bars to Luna (though it kept the classic Start menu), and nothing I can do will get it back! I tried undoing the tweak, changing the start menu to Luna and back to classic, the Force Classic Start Menu option in gpedit.msc - nothing. My screen looks like half Luna and half Classic, and it's worse than all-Luna. This sucks.

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, so I'll assume you want the start menu to be back to the new kind. So...
right-click the taskbar > properties > start menu tab

(I'm sure you'll see the options there...)

That's the wierd thing - the Start menu itself is the Classic one (only one column, y'know, Programs, Documents, Settings, Search, Help and Support, Run, Logoff, Turn off computer), but the Taskbar and Start button as well as the Title Bar in every application window is Luna. Somehow they've mixed and I can't undo it. It's driving me crazy!

<< Go to display properties and check the themes tab >>

hmm, I would have thought display properties/appearance & under windows & buttons choose windows classic style!

what he said doesnt apply to XP, they moved it, so what you said is correct

Yes! That did the trick, thanks guys! And now that I just did that, it looked familiar, so I recall that that's the way I changed 'em in the first place.

Woohoo, no more Luna!
