Hey, what season is it to pick fruits, and where can I go to pick them? I'm around the LA area.

Strawberry? Cherry? Apple? Peaches?

When I was younger, I went cherry picking in the mountains around Valencia (where Six Flags is)... this was over 10 years ago though, so I'm not sure if they still have it.
 
oh, i mean those places where you pay by pound or containers to go into someone's field and pick fruits. My gf and I would like to go to a place like this.

I know there are places where you can go in California because we went on a cherry picking trip when I was little. Unfortunately, I don't remember where.
 
I went strawberry picking once. It sucked. The only strawberrys that were left were all eaten by insects and crappy. Sorry I can't help you, I'm in New Jersey.

I have been there. It's located in Cherry Valley on 10 East right before the Cabazon Outlets. But Cherry picking doesn't start til Memorial Day.
 
I'd love to pick some strawberries or cherries with my husband and friends. If anyone knows of a good place to do so in the SoCal area, please post!
 
hmm I went cherry picking some months ago to a plantation in Riverside. It's not exactly my definition of "fun", but might be worth the trip just to do it once in your life. The amount you have to pay is pretty ridicolous from what I remember.
