I never understood why yogurt had fruit on bottom. Any explanations from anyone other than LOB? :)

Maybe it's because the fruit was actually alive at one point, and it can't swim in the yogurt, so it dies at the bottom.

Why ask why? Drink Bud Dry?!?

its cheaper to make because then all they have to do is make one kind of yoguart and just put it on top of different fruit stuff. Its also why yoplait is creamier since they blend it more. and fruit on the bottom also sounds good to some people i guess.

Because if all the fruit is on the top, it gets eaten first. Think about it:

Since the particles of fruit are large and appear less often in the yogurt, if they're on the top, they'll get almost completely ingested at first. However, on the bottom, it's possible to dig thru to the fruit and get some fruit and yogurt at the same time. And by the time the yogurt is half done, the fruit should be somewhat homogenized with the yogurt and will be good.

I find it disturbing to have the fruit on the bottom only. I look at it and go "Where the hell is all the fruit? All I can see is yogurt!". I like my fruit to mingle with the yogurt. :p
