FRS 2-way radios and airplanes

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but does anyone know if I'll have a problem carrying on a pair of Motorola FRS 2-way radios on a plane? I'd hate to have them confiscated at the security gate. I checked the TSA's list of items, but the closest thing I found was cell phones. Just my luck the terror alert gets raised to high the first time I fly in a few years.

i would think they'd take them, but thats just me. i fly alot too

Just don't take them as a carry on and I think you should be fine. Only reason I could think of for them taking it is if you wanted to communicate with some others on the plane... but what can you do if they are in your suitcase.

I'd hate to put them in luggage though, when the baggage is going to be probably opened and checked and they could easily get stolen. I guess that's what I'll have to do though.

I'm pretty sure they'd let you take it carry on otherwise get to the airport early enough so YOu can check them in time if they won't.\
