FRRRRRRRRREAKIN GIANTS!

They lost the game because Coughlin benched Will Peterson for showing up late to a meeting earlier this week. Frankie Walker cannot defend Chad Johnson 1 on 1, he was killing him all game long. I'm not saying Coughlin was wrong for doing that, after all the game means nothing, but IMO that's why they lost the game.

haha.. blame it on the WR's

i was hoping the giants would play the chargers.. so the chargers' D can knock the crap out of Eli (if you dont know, eli didnt want to get drafted by the chargers)

the AFC is tough.. colts, chargers, patriots, steelers!

No, they lost the game because when it counted Bengals made the plays and Giants didn't. Btw, Giants have the worst luck of any team - in third quater Kitna pass is tipped in the air and is somehow caught for the first down in the crown of 4 giant players. When Eli's pass is tipped, it's somehow is caught by a defensive linemen.

Also, on that 4th and 10 play, how the hell did that guy with really long last name catch the ball? Argh.... F*cking Giants.

Chad Johnson made the plays all game long. Whenever they needed a first they just threw to Johnson who was one on one with Frank Walker.

Maybe it means nothing to the teams that day or to the NFL playoff picture, but it does mean a lot for the future. If Eli loses his last game, he'll be winless in his "first season", certainly that cannot help. Second, the more the Giants lose, the better SD looks, because SD gets the Giants' first round draft pick, and SD could use a high draft pick because they certainly won't get one seeing as they're the #4 seed in the AFC playoffs...

The terrible thing is that the Giants were 5-2, then after losing 2 games they "gave up" and went with Eli, this is the NFC where there WILL be an 8-8 team in the playoffs, @ 5-4 the Giants only needed to go 3-4 to be in the hunt but they've lost 6 straight. Suddenly Parcells' stubborness to keep a struggling vet in doesn't look like such a bad move after all, you never give up on your season...even if it looks like its over.

I dunno, I think the worst part about this loss is that it was to the Bengals. The Bengals have always been one of those teams that is always close to success but always draws a penalty or gives up the ball on some bonehead play by a player and they'd consistently lose games this way. The fact that the Bengals actually pulled through in this close game could forshadown that Cinci is no longer one of those teams anymore, perhaps the Giants could be taking that role over. Heck the Bengals have always had star players like Dillon (now Rudi) and Chad Johnson, stuck on a losing team put putting in solid top-notch performances, but falling short because they were/are stuck on a cursed team, doomed to lose even the close ones they probably "should have won" Cinci's curse seems to be lifted, a win next week wouuld put that at 8-8 for the second consecutive non-losing season, a phenominal accomplishment for such a losing franchise (no winning seasons in the past decade and a half)
