From what I've read, it cools the inside of the computer case a few degrees C (nothing to sneeze at, but . . . ) -- it's also noisy as Biker Banshees from Hell. Well, maybe that's an exaggeration, too.
With this sort of thing, what happens in a configuration of low-noise fans pushing piles of CFM's through the case? It seems to be a paradoxical tradeoff between an "air-conditioned case with noise", and a well-ventilated case that may even make the TEC cooler less effective.
