My system is dual boot with Solaris 8 first followed by win2k and I am using the standard sun boot loader.
I have primarily been using win2k over the last week. Last night I was playing some max payne, when i stopped, saved, and then closed all apps and properly shut down the system

About an hour later, i powered up the system and attempted to boot into win2k and now the system hangs at the "first" startup screen - the black one with the white bar/text at the bottom. I can still boot up into solaris no probs...

So what should my first course of action be? I would try to repair the windows partition, but I'm thinking if I do that I'll wipe out the solaris partition since ms always likes to commando the boot sector..

Press F8 when it says Loading Windows 2000 (on the black screen) and try safe mode, or you can try an option like step by step to see if you can figure out what is making it freeze.
