frozen veggies

one quick question, is it just as healthy to eat frozen veggies as opposed to fresh ones? I dont' have time to prepare them, I buy the frozen packages, microwave them, and just eat, they taste the same to me!

So long as you aren't putting half a pound of butter or cheddar cheese on them, defrost and microwave away.

The health benefits of fresh would be minimal, if even measurable. Fresh just usually tastes better.

🙂

Yep, depending how you make them, they might be better for you frozen than fresh. Frozen don't need as many preservatives on them to last in the store.

It really depends on the quality of the veggies.

I'm not familiar with it otherwise. There are several health benefits from vegetables that go far beyond Vitamin A and Vitamin C. I know that some basic vitamins can be damaged, but I don't know about things like lutein.

I'm on a sodium reduction kick and frozen and fresh veggies are the best for you. One caveat: read the label on the frozen stuff.
