Love eating them, hate making them.

I've had some genuinely awful frozen meatballs that were little more than breadcrumbs and sawdust. Are there any that are worth going out and finding?

I'm kind of a meatball snob, considering I have spaghetti probably at least 2-3 times a week.

I've had pretty good luck with the Johnsonville variety:

They beat the house brands, Cooked Perfect, Rosina, and others I've tried. The Italian flavor is my favorite.

Still, nothing comes close to making my own with real ingredients and either baking or frying them.
But on those nights when I just don't feel like mixing a bunch of ingredients in a dish for 15 minutes, they're a decent substitute.

A meatball snob. Hell yeah! I knew I came to the right place. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try to pick some up today.

But, as always, when I ask a question like this, I inevitably go on a quest, and now I'm jonesing to make some using one of the 800 or so recipes that I've found.

A beef, pork and veal blend seems to be the universal mix. Is veal still evil? My Italian grandmother (Nonna) made the most incredible veal cutlets.

I'm a fan of Simek's meatballs ... but they're expensive at regular price. Have to wait for the B1G1 sales.

Costco's. IKEA meatballs are mediocre. It's one of the things that had been described as awesome/iphone7-esque/unicorn to me for years, and I finally tried them a few years ago and have tried them several times since and they are exactly what they appear to be: cafeteria meatballs. The only nice thing I can say about them is that there are worse items there, namely their shrimp salad sandwich.

My wife used to buy some from Sam's Club. She would cook them in BBQ sauce in a crockpot. They turned out really good.

Now, I want some meatballs.

Another vote for Costco, my son loves their turkey meatballs but they only sell them during holidays, so we stock up for the whole year. They are awesome
