frozen keyboard, during standby

often times (not always) when i put the computer in standby, the keyboard will freeze (its connected to the USB port, but ive tried swithcing to the com), and so then i can't get the computer out of standby mode. Anyone have this problem and know how ot fix it?

My setup:
amd xp 1700
win xp
epox 8kha+
silicongraphics (black) keyboard

Do you have ACPI installed? You can check by going into Device Mananger and it's under Computer. Try having the latest VIA drivers installed for the motherboard. Maybe if the keyboard has drivers you might wanna try downloading that.

It could be a problem with WinXP... it's not perfect

ive also heard that there are some VIA issues with VIA chipsets..

try www.usbman.com and there should be something there that might help...
