frontPage html coding....

hi. i need to know does microsoft front page (the newest version) when it generates html code do anything differently than what a website would be when just typing the code yourself? (basically, i need to know if someone was really smart, could they tell the different between code generated in front page as apposed to code typed out? maybe they put meta tags at the start or perhaps they use different conventions

many thanks

I don't know the answer for certain, because I haven't used the latest version, but I think the answer is YES. If code was created by a wysiwyg application, it is pretty much apparent from glancing at the code.

Also, applications used for coding insert a metatag in the html header that names themselves, like:
<meta name="generator" content="Arachnophilia 5.2">

I used MS Front Page several years ago. The reason I quit using it was that it always inserted a lot of useless junk code. So did that app called NVU.

That was back in the days of Microsoft Office 97. I have not used the the newest version.
