In the license for FrontPage 2002: "You may not use the Software in connection with any site that disparages Microsoft, MSN, MSNBC, Expedia, or their products or services ... "

So much for the first amendment.

With XP, MS could theoretically remotely de-activate any product that violates its license. Bite me, bill.

UPDATE: I thought I might try validating this story. While surfing Microsoft's website at www.microsoft.com/frontpage, Norton Antivirus popped up and gave me the following warning:

Norton AntiVirus has detected the W32.Nimda.A@mm(html) virus in:

File Name: C:\Documents and Settings\bstark\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\RM4FJ10P\frontpage[1].htm
Domain Name: [work domain]
System Name: BSTARK
User Name: BStark

Unable to repair this file.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Way to go Microsoft!

If i had the money to waste on frontpage! I would set up the nastiest anti-microsoft site known to man using frontpage 2002 and laugh all the way to the bank when those goofballs try to sue.

Anyone have a copy of FP2002? Can someone check the license to verify that it does in fact say this?

I've long been an MS supporter, but this is absurd.

<< Stupid Bill Gates. >>

Comments like these really do get annoying. He's but one person at Microsoft, and he's not the sole decision maker. If you're upset with something Microsoft has done, slander Microsoft, stop slandering Bill as though he's the one that orchestrates all business activity.
