According to the ads in the Sunday paper, Frontlines: Fuel of War is coming out on Tuesday (2/26/08).

Anyone seen it on sale for less than $49.99? Where?

>> EDIT: 48 Hour Madness sale at GoGamer.com 3/9-3/10: $32.90 +~$2.60 shipping.
>> EDIT: Circuit City, 3/9-3/15: $29.99 + free shipping+local tax. Thanks, Kromis!

Thanks!

I head about this game a few months ago and was interested, and just looked at some game play footage. I really hope i was looking at the console version because it looks like crap, but then again i found GoW horribly boring after a hour of playing. I'm waiting a good month for reviews to come out to see what the verdict is on this before i even consider touching it.

I was on the beta test and had a blast. remote weapons are fun, vehicle physics are well done.

Body armor is a bit exaggerated (many many shots in the chest). Overall, a nice time killer - I can only imagine how the game would be w/ voice over and actually coordination. Beta was definitely a free for all experience.

They need to release a demo for this game. I've been interested in it for a while but wasn't able to get in on the beta. Most people said it was bad, so I think it was delayed a lot due to user feedback which they have incorporated and fixed other things.

I haven't seen any reviews for the PC version, and no demo. Are they even trying to sell the game?

Been playing SP for now, it's been decent fun. Will have to get into MP soon.

Few reviews can be had here: http://www.metacritic.com/game...r?q=frontlines#critics

I had some trouble playing at first, because the game would freeze every 30 seconds, for about 10 seconds ? No clue what was going on, but I had to update my videocard drivers anyways, and I updated them to 174.25 I think, or 174.16, anyways, problem solved, and the game is running really smooth right now at high/medium, with a x2 3800+ @ 2.6ghz, 8800gts 320mb and 2gb of ram @ 1680*1050

I had checked Best Buy & Circuit city before I posted the GoGamer price, but I guess Circuit City had not been updated for the week yet. I actually ordered from Circuit City. With free shipping, it was cheaper than GoGamer despite having to pay local tax.

Thanks!

You're welcome :)

I'd like to try this game, but I'm content right now with BF2142 & BF2. I'd hate to shell out anything for a mediocre war game. Those of you who havve played the BF games & Frontlines- give me your comparison.

Friend who has played BF2 for years and now is into QW, he said this one has nothing more to add to the genre. I haven't seen it yet. But is he telling the truth?

EDIT: i just looked at some video, i must say, the remote weaponry is really cool.

i totally agree that fun trumps all else, but some people wouldn't get it if it was almost the same as another game that they had.

I also play QW. I don't like seeing it compared to BF games, because I think it is different. It's a lot of fun. More of a learning curve associated with it, but the new patch included a lot of help for newbs. QW is a lot of fun.
